VSA 2020 Summer Soccer Camp Registration

Jun. 27, 2020

Hello VSA family.

We, the board, have been busy working towards our safe return to soccer, and we finally are ready to share our plans with you all.

There will be two camps offered this summer, starting with a two week introductory distance training camp that will start on the week of July 6. This email is your notification that registration is open for that now. Please select which day you would like to sign up your child, and for which session. Coordination with friends and family is up to you to do before signing up if you wanted our child to be with certain children.

Please visit our website, www.valleysoccer.ca, or click HERE to be taken directly to our 2020 Summer Camp section of our website where you will find links to our registration and information regarding dates and times of our camp sessions.

Once we are done with this first camp, the distance training restrictions will be lessened slightly and the freedom to compete and play some sort of games will be present again.

The second group of training sessions will be a 4 week long camp that may or may not be twice a week. We are constantly discussing how best to offer soccer in a safe manner.

The first camp will be open to U11-U18 players of both genders, and the younger age groups will be involved once the distance restrictions lift for the next camp.

All signs point towards us being able to have a recreational jamboree at the conclusion of these camps, and I am very hopeful that we are able to offer that.

We are taking the health and safety of your children, our volunteers, and our coaches very seriously, and therefore we want to reiterate that we are not pressuring anyone to participate who isn’t comfortable or confident with the scenario. By all means make your own decision for your family, but know that we are following every guideline, rule, and precaution we can.

As always, this situation is highly fluid and likely to evolve as we move on, so please bear with us as we all make our way forward in the new normal.
