Canada Soccer GRASSROOTS Coach Education Program
Saskatchewan Soccer is pleased to offer coach training for aspiring coaches across the province. In conjunction with Canada Soccer, we have made coach education more accessible by moving to a blended learning format allowing coaches to complete the theoretical part of the course online (PART1) and the on-field component (PART 2) by attending an in person practical workshop.
In addition, Canada Soccer has launched an online learning management system to lower the barrier to access for grassroots volunteer, parent, and guardian coaches. The new coach education platform allows coaches anywhere to complete the theory component of the Active Start, FUNdamentals, Learn to Train and Soccer for Life courses online.
Canada Soccer has also added a new core component of the Grassroots Coach Education Program - Coaching Soccer in Canada, which has streamlined duplicate information from each of the courses into one simple module.
Want to become a coach?
STEP 1. REQUEST A CODE FOR YOUR ONLINE THEORY TRAINING: Coaches who are interested in taking the new grassroots coach education program will be given a keycode from your home Association/Club. Please contact your town/club's coach coordinator to access the online theory portion of the Canada Soccer Education Program.
